It has been too long since my last blog. We all got sick in March and then some nice weather hit and I ran outside to plant. On and On.
As I have talked about I was going to blog each room as I went along. Since the game room is almost complete I am going to give the condensed version .
I started with this great round coffee table and painted it with Annie Sloan's Barcelona Orange chalk paint to go with the orange and blue theme in the room and decided to add a Celtic design:

I printed out the design, smeared the back with a charcoal pencil and then turned it over to trace the design on the table. Then I traced the outline with marker paint and filled in with Old White, Barn Red and Provence chalk paint.
Next , since it was a game room I decided we needed a Game Table. :-) I forgot to take a before picture of the table but I have a few of the chairs.
The chair still needed another coat of white when I took the picture but you get the gist.
I was going to put a checkerboard in the middle of the table but decided to do something funky with stripes.
For a wall decoration I had an old metal starburst that I thought would look great painted in my accent colors and since the look has a sixties flair it went great in the room.

Drum roll please.... here is the room put together so far.
Next for the room I am making an entry bench out of my parents hope chest. Stay tuned and talk to you next time.
